Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 11, 2026

PrayTheRosary.com helps people know when the Rosary is live on our official Facebook Page, pray past broadcasts, receive optional reminders, and join a community centered on prayer. This policy explains the information Rosary Live collects and how we use it.

Information you choose to give us

  • Account and profile: your name, email address, optional mobile number, and optional profile picture.
  • Facebook Login: if you connect Facebook, we request only your public profile (including name and profile picture) and primary email address. Facebook may not provide an email. We do not request your Facebook birthday, friends, posts, or permission to post for you.
  • Birthday greeting: only the month and day you voluntarily enter. We do not request or need your birth year.
  • Choices and consent: each alert channel you select, when you selected it, the disclosure version, and whether you chose to show your name and picture in the community.
  • Delivery and security records: notification attempts, provider delivery identifiers, verification status, opt-outs, and limited technical logs needed to secure and operate the service.

Information from the official Facebook Page

One authorized Page administrator connects the official Pray The Rosary Page. We use Page-owned broadcast metadata—such as a live-video or post identifier, title, status, date, and Facebook permalink—to show “Live now,” link to replays, receive live-status webhooks, and avoid duplicate alerts. We do not use visitor posts or comments for this service.

How we use information

  • Authenticate and personalize your Rosary Live profile.
  • Send only the live-alert or birthday channels you separately selected.
  • Display your name and profile picture in the community only if you explicitly opt in.
  • Verify mobile numbers, honor opt-outs, prevent duplicate messages, protect the service, and respond to support or deletion requests.

Participation in a Rosary service can reveal or imply religious belief. We treat that information with special care. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.

Your notification choices

All email, text, birthday, browser, and community-profile choices start unchecked. Facebook permission to retrieve an email address is not treated as consent to recurring messages. You may change your choices, use the unsubscribe link in an email, reply STOP to any text, disable browser alerts, remove the Facebook app, or delete your account.

Service providers and sharing

We disclose only what is necessary to providers that operate the service: Meta/Facebook for login and Page features; our hosting and database providers; an email-delivery provider such as Resend; an SMS provider such as Twilio; and security or support providers. These providers process information for us under their own terms and privacy obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect people, rights, or service security.

Retention and deletion

Active profile and preference information is kept while you use Rosary Live. Birthday month/day is deleted when you turn off all birthday greetings or delete your account. Delivery logs are normally retained for up to 24 months. Consent and opt-out evidence, including a minimal hashed suppression record, may be retained for up to five years so we can prove and honor your choices. Public Page broadcast metadata may remain in the replay archive while the original Facebook post remains available.

Account deletion removes your profile, Facebook identifier, contact details, birthday, sessions, and public-community entry. Backups and required compliance records may take up to 30 days to expire. See our Data Deletion page for self-service and Facebook instructions.

Security

Access tokens and app secrets stay on the server and are sent only over HTTPS. We use least-privilege access, hashed session tokens, signed webhook verification, limited retention, and provider access controls. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

Rosary Live is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13. A child under 13 should not create an account or submit contact information. If we learn that we collected a child’s information without required parental consent, we will delete it.

Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your information, or object to certain processing. Email ed.vizenor@gmail.com with “Rosary Live Privacy” in the subject. We may verify that you control the account before fulfilling a request.

Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes. If a change materially affects how optional alerts or profile information are used, we will request fresh consent when required.
